Tours of Listening Point are available on Tuesdays at 10am, Thursdays at 2pm, and Saturdays at 10am, from June through September 2025.

Sigurd’s iconic Writing Shack is open to visitors again! After a year of hard work, we are pleased to welcome you back.
The Shack is on the same property at the Olson Home and is open on Wednesdays and Fridays from 1-5pm.

At the Olson Family Home you can expect to find merchandise, further exhibit areas, the Writing Shack, and beautiful gardens.

Frequently Asked Questions
+Can I visit Listening Point on my own? In an effort to maintain the longevity of the buildings and the trails, solo visits of the Listening Point property are not permitted without express permission from the current Executive Director.
+Can I bring my dog? For the comfort and safety of guides, other guests, and your pup we do not allow any dogs that aren’t service animals on our tours. Please let us know in advance if your service animal will be attending.
+How long do the tours last? Tours are about two hours in length and go out rain or shine. If you have to cancel, please contact us!
+Where can I find the address? Once your tour is scheduled you will be sent a confirmation email and directions.
+What do I need to bring? These tours are entirely outdoors, so we recommend all guests wear comfortable shoes for walking, bug spray, sunscreen, and any layers they might want. Hiking poles or walking sticks are encouraged for anyone with mobility concerns.
+I want to bring out a large group or have a private tour. What do I do? Wednesday and Friday mornings are set aside for groups larger than 8 people or private groups. Please fill out this form here!
